Granular EDIT rights at application level
August 07, 2024
The data in KYCP is all stored in Applications. Applications are similar to the concept of a CASE FILE whereby all the information relating to the subject (be it an individual or a legal entity) is stored and visualised in a central location including all the related parties, data and documentation.
This new feature relates to the access that is given to a user to such applications across the solution. Based on the right given to users, such users can either:
not see an application at all as they do not have permission to access the respective application
be able to view only applications
be able to view and edit applications and all their contents
Based on the above, when users are limited to VIEW ONLY, they can only see the application and not be able to edit any part of the application, whilst the EDIT right would give access to the user to be able to edit any part of the application itself.
The new feature that has been launched allows you to set further access to such users by allowing certain parts of the application to be edited. These new rights cater for the ability to ONLY edit the CHECKLIST of an application or entity, be able to fill in QUESTIONNAIRES and also be able to UPLOAD DOCUMENTS.
These new set of granular EDIT rights go in hand with the VIEW ONLY right of applications. This means that if a user has VIEW ONLY rights on the application and is also assigned the new granular features, the user in question would be able to update checklist items and add respective notes, upload documents and fill questionnaires whilst the rest of the application is not editable.
This new feature addresses requests from clients whereby the application is in review for example. The user in question is not allowed to edit any other aspect of the application whilst being able to complete a review.
